Illinois just quietly passed a law that makes it a felony to record the police without consent

What are your thoughts on this? Seems as if they are trying to make it easier for law enforcement to opress people of color. Recently a spotlight has been put on law enforcement and has sparked protest world wide. Many people complain about law enforcement's abuse of power but for the most part nothing is done because of lack of evidence. Now that people have been recording police brutality people have began to awaken. Now more than ever police are being punished for breaking law and violating citizens rights. You would thing this would be a step in the right direction. So, why would Illinois pass a law to make it a felony to record the police? Is Illinois attempting to silence citizens? Does Illinois condone police brutality, death, and violation of its citizens.

Please share this with your friends and family. Call Governor Quinn at 312-814-2121 to ask him to Veto the Amendment to SB 1342.
